India Fashion Week ’11 A/W

Developed the visual language and identity for the India Fashion Week based on the theme and the fashion forecasts. Designed the entire graphic identity palette that was used across all print collaterals [invites, letterheads, brochures, accreditation, mastheads, etc] as well as across all publicity materials [magazine spreads, OOH, venue signage and digital outreach].

A muted colour palette reflected the season, while the Rorschach inspired elements gave it an edgy contemporary feel. Elements like dress forms, mannequins, scissors and spools were hidden within the ink blots such that the entire visual would be similar to the test format.

Visual Language The key motif for the graphics was inspired from the idea of the Rorschach Inkblot test. We layered these ambiguous forms with elements associated with the fashion industry like dress forms, scissors, buttons and bobbins, to create a relevant visual language for the event graphics. These resulted in an overall language of dark ambiguous forms on stark white backgrounds which were used across all collateral like access badges, show invites, designer brochures, print and media advertisements, letterheads, access badges, designer and buyer dockets as well as spatial graphics and signage.
