India Fashion Week Branding

Our role was to develop the India Fashion Week branding and identity. Creating the visual language for the event based on the season’s theme and fashion forecasts. We designed the complete graphic identity palette that was used across all print collateral as well as across all publicity materials.

The exercise involved the design of show invitations, letterheads, brochures, accreditation, mastheads, magazine spreads, OOH, venue signage and digital outreach.

Rendering the Devanagari alphabets and vowels as forms created in origami, we developed typography-based graphic layouts for the print collateral. Extending the same vocabulary to environmental signage, we also created large three-dimensional sculptural installations of these forms for the show areas and entrance of the India Fashion Week.

Using the traditional Indian typographic elements as motifs across both print collateral as well as environmental graphics, gave the event a strong Indian identity while reflecting one of the written scripts of the country.
